People Crowd 03:16
Why run away when you could stay so close I always shiver when I see your ghost Ohhhhh I blow away like smoke I'm way too gone to call you back right now I always hide when I see you in town Ohhhhh I get lost in the people crowd Kiss my face and baby push me around Oh well I know that you hate me now Ooh ooh ooh ooh etc. I get lost in the people crowd Can't see up when you hold me down I get lost in the people crowd Can't see up when you hold me down When will the porch come tumbling down? I get lost in the lazy sounds I wake up as body hits the ground Oh, well push me around I wish I could win everyday I wish you wouldn't get in my way I wish I could taste the ocean spray I wish I knew how to pray Pick me up and throw me away Tell me what you have to say Ooh ooh ooh ooh etc. I get lost in the people crowd Can't see up when you hold me down I get lost in the people crowd Can't see up when you hold me down Ooh ooh ooh ooh etc. I get lost in the people crowd Can't see up when you hold me down I get lost in the people crowd Can't see up when you hold me down

Sunny 03:52
Sunny, always make me feel like I'm a clown Sunny, standing in the rain your makeup runs down You're always searching for some peace of mind Sunny, know I think about you most all the time Honey, there ain’t nothing like the month of June I know and you know that it ends so soon You never thank me when I keep you warm I’m coming back and now I’m losing my form You can see me from miles away Bleeding rainbow colors walking in the rain Cover myself up so you don’t see my shame You can see me from miles away Honey, there ain’t nothing like the month of May You know and I know, I don't believe what you say You never thank me when I keep you warm I’m coming back and now I’m losing my form You can see me from miles away Bleeding rainbow colors walking in the rain Cover myself up so you won't see my shame You can see me from miles away You can see me from miles away Bleeding rainbow colors walking in the rain Cover myself up so you don't see my shame You can see me from miles away You can see me from miles away Bleeding rainbow colors walking in the rain Cover myself up so you don't see my shame You can see me from miles away

Ashes 02:27
You sun yourself, laying in bed Sunlight in the orchard runs through my head I'm barely working for my daily bread I'd rather carve my own gravestone Than watch you going red in the face Rather fade away at my own pace I'm not sure I got what it takes To go to sleep at night and not wanna get faded away I'm awake when the sun starts to blaze I see the lines on your face Please don't make me pack my suitcase Rather grow old at my own pace I'm not sure I have what it takes Know I'm not another mistake I think I fell too far back in my place I'm not sure I've got what it takes Oh I know I'm fading too fast Praying I don't run out of gas All my money turns into ashes Only make it worse like scratching a rash Well please don't make me pack my suitcase Rather grow old at my own pace

I'm salty like a pretzel My mouth's always dry when I'm with you Everybody's feeling special so Why should I bother with you I want your sister to like me But your parents are so scary I want you to write to me But I don't want you to scare me Do you wanna see the flowers? I heard they're in bloom Can I sleep on your mattress? When the skies aren't so blue I want your sister to like me But your parents are so scary I want you to write to me But I don't want you to scare me

Wish I knew what it was like Wish I knew if I was right in the end Wish you followed me at night And be my friend Be my friend I could try with all my might To go softly into that dark night I could try with all my might To be your friend Be your friend

Knowing it's gone I need somebody to tell me when I'm wrong I want you to sing about me in your songs That won't fix a thing Had a dream that I was king I had a dream that I was dying That won't fix a thing It won't fix a thing I pretend without realizing Leave me in the city oh leave me alone Cut my hair and unplug my phone Crash my car by the side of the road That won't fix a thing Had a dream that I was king I had a dream that I was dying That won't fix a thing It won't fix a thing Talk too much without realizing You can tell that I'm trying I woke up on the wrong side of bed (You can tell that I'm trying) And the rain feels nice when it drips onto my head (You can tell that I'm trying) I'm out of cigarettes cowboy killer red (You can tell that I'm trying) Woke up on the wrong side of the bed (You can tell that I'm trying) You can tell that I'm trying You can tell that I'm trying You can tell that I'm trying You can tell that I'm trying Had a dream that I was king I had a dream that I was dying That won't fix a thing It won't fix a thing I pretend without realizing You can tell that I'm trying You can tell that I'm trying You can tell that I'm trying Just a little too hard, little too hard Cus I'm trying just a little too hard You can tell that I'm trying You can tell that I'm trying Had a dream that I was dying Had a dream that I was king I had a dream that I was dying

Rose Dream 01:59
Sea foam cleansing my toes I had a dream that we were roses Looked on the floor and it's covered in clothes Oooooooooooooh Washing my face in the basin of love Floating just so I can stay above Lying on my back in the slush and the mud There once was Under her eyes Cold waves across my body String lights cover the greenery Emerging my hand in the candle wax So sad but all this beautiful scenery Bury me in the old churchyard Beside my oldest brother My coffin shall be black Six angels at my back Two to sing and two to pray And two to carry my soul away Oooooh And when we are married How happy we will be Wild rose blossoms on that little green place

about

Recorded in Matt and Brennan's basements over the summer of 2017 with bellies full of Hartell's and cold cappucinos. There was also plenty of fog chaser coffee and FIFA World Cup 2014 during the Brennan basement sessions.
